God of Wonders
Dear brothers and sisters,
Today, let us reflect on the awe-inspiring nature of our God, the God of Wonders, as revealed in the Bible. In Psalm 77:14 (NIV), it says, "You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples."
Our God, the creator of the universe, is the God of wonders. He crafted the galaxies, painted the skies, and sculpted the mountains. Every sunrise, every rainbow, every starry night is a testament to His artistic brilliance (Genesis 1:1, Psalm 19:1).
In Exodus, we witness the wonders of God as He parted the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21-22), fed His people with manna from heaven (Exodus 16:4), and guided them with a pillar of fire by night (Exodus 13:21). These miracles remind us that God's power knows no bounds.
In the New Testament, Jesus, the Son of God, performed miracles that left people astounded. He healed the sick (Matthew 4:23), raised the dead (John 11:43-44), and calmed storms with just a word (Mark 4:39). Jesus' life itself was a wonder, born of a virgin (Matthew 1:23), fulfilling prophecies (Matthew 26:54), and ultimately conquering death through His resurrection (Matthew 28:6).
But God's wonders aren't confined to the past. He continues to work wonders in our lives today. Miracles of healing (James 5:14-15), restoration (Joel 2:25), and transformation (2 Corinthians 5:17) happen when we place our trust in Him.
Let us remember that the God of Wonders is not distant or indifferent. He invites us to draw near (James 4:8), to seek His face (Psalm 27:8), and to experience His wonders firsthand.
As we go forth from this place, may we carry with us a deep sense of awe for our God, the God of Wonders. Let our lives be a testament to His miraculous power (Acts 1:8), and may we continually seek His presence (Jeremiah 29:13), knowing that with Him, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
